True to its tradition, SWOSTI group yet again brings another first restaurant to the people of Orissa. The first "Orissa Restaurant" in any star category hotel. Most hotels will not dare to venture in such a culinary experiment on a commercial basis. But as SWOSTI has always been the leader and pioneer in hospitality industry, "SWOSTI PLAZA" has opened the most authentic Orissa cuisine restaurant "CHANDAN" on 11th October 2002. This perhaps is a new gift from SWOSTI to the people of Orissa on the Dussera.
The uniqueness of "CHANDAN" is its ambience, decor, cuisine and unbelievable price range. Typical Orissa coastal fishing village looms large while you are inside "CHANDAN". The uniforms of staff are lined with Sambalpuri weaving. The utensils are pure brasses, what we really eat at our home. The traditional Thali, both vegetarian and Non-vegetarian are available with six/seven varieties of mouth watering authentic Orissa cuisine. Every day of the week it's a different Thali. No similar food is served on 2 days. Menu has been printed on daily basis. There are separate menus for each day of the week. To cover each and every item of all the Orissa food you have to visit at least seven days to "CHANDAN". The menu has its finer authentic touch of Orissa by Oriya printing also along with English script. "CHANDAN" is open for lunch & dinner on all days of the week.
